The Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region is our most important neighbour and an important partner. It is exemplary with regard to its business dynamics and established regional institutions. The cooperation agreement between the ZRW and the organisation Zukunft Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar  [Rhine-Neckar Regional Association] (ZMRN) signed on 25 January 2013 is an important basis for a confident future based on partnership.

At the heart of the cooperation is the regular exchange of information and experiences at the management level. The partners regularly let each other know about their current and planned activities in order to identify early chances for cooperation. A joint appearance at Rheinland-Pfalz-Tag [Rhineland-Palatinate Day] in 2013 and various cooperative project approaches are the result of the successful exchanges.

The Rhine-Neckar region plays a special role, but the ZRW also has important partners in Saarland and in France.
